Alstom Projects gets Rs.4.5bn order from BHEL

Alstom Projects Ltd (BOM:532309), the Indian arm of the France-based multinational company today announced that has been awarded an order of Rs 4.58 billion by Bharat Heavy Electricals. The stocks of the company gained momentum to 2.73 per cent from the previous close, on the Bombay stock Exchange (BSE).

The order is for supplying boiler components to BHEL's 2 X 800 MW supercritical coal fired power at Raichur, Karnataka, said Alstom Projects India in a notice to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one quarter, gaining 3.98% as against 1.00% fall in the Sensex. The shares of the company hit a 52-week high at Rs 679.50 on June 25, 2010 while a 52-week low at Rs 425.15 on July 6, 2009.
