As part of manufacturing capacity expansion programme in the country, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) is in the process of setting up by March, 2012 a new manufacturing plant at Tirumayam in Tamil Nadu for manufacture of power plant piping at an estimated cost of Rs. 293 crore, using internal resources of the company.
This information was given by Shri Arun Yadav, Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today.
