BHEL executives demand removal of pay disparity

The BHEL Executive Association in its general body meeting held today has demanded to remove disparities in salary and allowances. According to them there are several anomalies in the new pay scales. They demanded to clubbing together of ET/E1 scales and E1A scales to remove disparity.
Likewise it has also demanded to clubbing together of E3 scale with E4 scale to bring in parity. The meeting resolved that E6 scale to be clubbed with higher scale to bring in parity. Stagnation is a major issue that has been plaguing the executives for decades. Therefore the Association demanded upgrading of scales wherever necessary.
The meeting noted that the management always maintained that all three cadres are linked at some point. The meeting demanded 2.5 increments to all executives or introduction of various schemes for executives so that they are benefited with equivalent amount. Details could be worked out with FOBEA by the management.
The Association noted that service weightage has been increased 500 per cent (up to Rs 1400 + per month). The Association demanded same dispensation in form of loyalty payment.
The general body meeting also demanded 1. Subsidies not to be part of 46 per cent. 2. Conveyance reimbursement not to be part of 46% (Only Rs 800 in form of transport allowance be part of 46 % as done by other PSUs).
It is demanded that promotion policies have to be revamped and structured so that executives can reach top position at a much younger age. The Association meeting noted that the executives perform as a team and it is not possible to differentiate between members of a team in the same grade. It has also demanded performance payment to be linked to the unit performance and company performance. The differentiation should be limited to these parameters.
The meeting has also warned that if need be they would resort to agitation
