BHEL, Ranipet surpasses target by 9%

The Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Ranipet, has achieved a capacity addition of 45,274 MW during the 12th Five Year Plan period (2012-2017) surpassing the target of 41,661 MW set by the government by nine per cent, said its executive director K. Kalaiselvan on Friday. “With this, BHEL continues to remain the single largest contributor to the country’s power generation capacity addition,” he told in his speech on the occasion of the 69th Republic Day. He hoisted the flag and inspected the parade, a press release said. Listing out the achievements of Boiler Auxiliaries Plant (BAP) and BHEL during the year 2017, he said BHEL recorded nearly 14% growth in its intellectual capital during the financial year 2016-2017.
