BHEL HOLDS WORKSHOP ON SWITCH GEARS, POWER TRANSFORMERS

BHEL Bhopal in association with BHEL Corp R & D, Hyderabad, organised a two-day workshop on “Type Testing of Switchgear and Power Transformers” here on Tuesday at ITS Conference Hall BHEL, Bhopal. The workshop was attended by young executives of all the units of BHEL from EDN Bangalore, Corp R&D Hyderabad, ROD New Delhi, PSTS-Noida, TBG Noida, PEM Noida and other units. On this occasion, DK Thakur Executive Director BHEL Bhopal was present as the Chief Guest. MS Kinra, General Manager (Quality and HR), Kuldeep Mathur, General Manager (SCR) TK Bagchi, General Manager (TCB) Neelam Bhogal (HOD-SWE), VK Jain (HOD-SWM), Shubhra Chaturvedi (HOD-MM), Mamta Dingrocha (HOD-SCS) and Dipak Sarma (HOD-CEE) also graced the programme. Rene Peter Paul Smeets from KEMA laboratories (Netherland) & Shri Benjimin Baum from KEMA Laboratories (Germany) eminent experts in the field of testing of Switchgear & Transformers attended the workshop. The workshop focused on Short Circuit Current and their effects, fault current interruptions, technology of medium and high voltage circuit breakers, technical faults in switchgear and transformers and testing layout of KEMA. The programme centred on knowledge sharing regarding techniques of testing and care, to be taken while design and testing.
