BHEL ties up with Mitsubishi Japan for new technology

BHEL today said it has tied up with Japan-based Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, which would enable the power equipment maker to receive environment- friendly technology for its manufacturing units. "BHEL has geared up for the manufacture and supply of pollution control equipment to meet the emerging requirement of thermal power plants," an official statement said. To this effect, BHEL has entered into a License Agreement with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. (MHI), Japan - a leading supplier of FGD Systems, for acquiring FGD system technology, finding application in fossil fuel power plants, it said.
