Bright prospects for BHEL: Chairman

Capacity augmentation was under way at the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited’s Bangalore unit for manufacture of solar photo voltaic panels and negotiations were on with technology collaborators for building main gas turbines at Hyderabad unit, B.Prasada Rao, Chairman and Managing Director of BHEL, said here on Monday. On a visit to the BHEL, Tiruchi complex, Mr.Rao emphasised the need for improving performance and exploring diversification opportunities for the public sector power plant equipment manufacturer to maintain its leadership position. The power sector has started looking up with rise in order inflow, Mr.Rao said addressing employees.
