BHEL bags Rs 10,000 cr contract from Bangladesh

Bharat Heavy ElectricalsBSE 2.27 % Limited on Tuesday said it bagged its largest ever export order, valued at Rs 10,000 crore for setting up a thermal power project in Bangladesh. Won against stiff international competitive bidding, the order has been secured from Bangladesh India Friendship Power Company (Pvt) Limited (BIFPCL), a 50:50 joint venture of NTPCBSE -1.05 % and Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB).
