BHEL achieves one more milestone

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has successfully commenced another 250 MW coal-based thermal unit at the upcoming Bongaigaon Thermal Power Station (TPS) in Assam. They have executed three coal fired units of 250 MW each at Bongaigaon TPS of NTPC Limited, and it’s the highest rated coal based power plant in the North East Region. For commencing this project, BHEL has demolished an old 4x60 MW power station of Assam State Electricity Board. BHEL is one of the market leaders in the Indian power sector with a installation base of over 170,000 MW of power plant, equipped globally. As per the recent CEA(Central Electricity Authority) study on the performance of sub-critical sets in the country, those which are supplied by BHEL have shown less coal consumption per unit of power consumed. BHEL is also executing a gas based combined cycle project of 98.4 MW at Assam. - See more at: http://www.dsij.in/article-details/articleid/19072/bhel-achieves-one-more-milestone.aspx#sthash.w62L5HDE.dpuf ref: http://www.dsij.in/article-details/articleid/19072/bhel-achieves-one-more-milestone.aspx
