“Process improvement has helped BHEL achieve competitive pricing”

Various process improvements incorporated over the past two years at the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Tiruchi, has helped reduce cost considerably and ensure competitive pricing, its Executive Director A.V.Krishnan said here on Wednesday. Speaking at the golden jubilee BHEL Day, Mr.Krishnan called upon the employees to rededicate themselves to continue the good work. The foremost responsibility of employees is to meet the ever increasing expectation of customers in terms of quality products, lower prices and faster delivery. Receipt of an order from the TSGENCO, Telangana has brought good auguries for the organisation in the New Year. Elaborating on various landmarks achieved by BHEL over the past 50 years, Mr.Krishnan reiterated the importance of improving productivity, quality, wastage reduction, safety, and team work. The power sector is slowly but steadily looking up, he said and expressed confidence that the new power projects in the pipeline would bring in favourable business environment for BHEL. M.Palanivel, General Manager, Human Resources, BHEL, Tiruchi, called upon employees to work towards achieving growth in a sustainable manner and meeting the expectations of stakeholders. The BHEL Day pledge was administered to the employees on the occasion. Twenty-five employees, who had donated eyes and organs of their family members during 2014, were honoured.
