BHEL modernises thermal unit in Bihar
The Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has successfully renovated and modernised a 110 MW thermal power unit at Barauni Thermal Power Station in Bihar and thereby extended its life by 15-20 years.
BHEL’s after-sales-service business has synchronised the 110 MW Unit-7 at Barauni Thermal Power Station (TPS). The unit was originally commissioned in May, 1985.
With the successful commissioning of Unit-7 at Barauni TPS, BHEL has showcased its strength in renovation and modernisation of old thermal power plants through in-house state-of-the-art technology, engineering capabilities and incorporating the latest products and systems in renovated units, a BHEL press release said.
