State-run Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has announced its results for the quarter ended June 2010. It has reported net profit of Rs 667.6 crore as against Rs 470.6 crore, a growth of 41.86% on year-on-year basis (YoY).
Net sales rose 15.79% to Rs 6,479 crore from Rs 5,595.7 crore (YoY).
Numbers were better-than-expectations; CNBC-TV18 expected net profit at Rs 589 crore and net sales at Rs 6937.3 crore.
Outstanding order book backlog of the company stood at Rs 1,48,000 crore as on June 30.
Earning before interest, depreciation, tax and amortisation (EBIDTA) margin improved to 13% versus 9.3%.
